“Universal Life Energy”

Reiki (pronounced  “ray-kee”) is the ancient Japanese art of amplifying energy to heal the mind, body and soul. Reiki taps into the universal life energy, present in all of creation, to assist in healing. Although we all have the ability to tap into this gentle healing source, we all are not trained to do it. Reiki practitioners have been trained to move this energy to people and pets that need it. Some benefits of Reiki for pets include:

  • Assisting the body’s natural ability to heal

  • Re-establishing spiritual balance and mental well-being

  • Freeing blocked energy and promoting relaxation

  • Adapting itself to the needs of the recipient

  • Bringing peace and harmony to the body and soul

The Healing Room/Natural Pet recommends Reiki for many conditions, including:

  • Paralysis/musculoskeletal disorders

  • Pets that have had strokes

  • Pets that habitually chew or lick a certain area

  • Weak, chronically ill puppies or older animals

  • Transitions in life, including those pets that are approaching death or euthanasia

  • Changes in life; loss of another pet or family member or going into a new home

  • Pets with behavior problems of unknown origin or recent personality changes

The powers of these Buddhist techniques were rediscovered in the late 1800s by a professor of Christian Theology in Japan. Since then, people around the world have been trained to master this ancient healing art.
